A&E and Minor Injuries

Choose Well

Not sure whether to go to A&E?  Unless it is a clear life threatening emergency please feel free to ring us at the Practice for advice - inform the receptionists of the urgency and we will aim to call back within 20 minutes or sooner.

Remember that the wait in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital A&E is often over 4 hours so if we can see you at the practice this will often be quicker.  The duty GP will see you urgently if it warrants it.

If you do need to be admitted to hospital we can usually admit you/your child straight to the ward avoiding a long wait on the A&E trolley!

Our Nurses can deal with many cuts and wounds and can give tetanus boosters if needed.
